La 58e cérémonie des Oscars du cinéma, organisée par l'Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), a eu lieu le 24 mars 1986 au Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, à Los Angeles, à partir de 18 h (heure du Pacifique), récompensant en vingt-trois catégories les films sortis en 1985. Diffusée aux États-Unis par ABC, la cérémonie a été produite par Stanley Donen et réalisée par Marty Pasetta. Elle était coanimée par Alan Alda, Jane Fonda et Robin Williams — Fonda animait pour la deuxième fois, après la 49e cérémonie en 1977, tandis que c'était la première fois pour Alda et Williams. Huit jours plus tôt, lors d'une cérémonie tenue au Beverly Hilton, à Beverly Hills, en Californie, le 16 mars, les Oscars techniques avaient été remis par Macdonald Carey.
