A poor cobbler and his wife are visited by a destitute elf. They share their meager donut with him which he enjoys through song. The grateful elf secretly returns with many others and they make an inventory of first class shoes for the shoemaker's store while he sleeps. The shoemaker is able to quickly liquidate his new inventory, which is replenished daily. Eventually the cobbler becomes so rich that he wears a tuxedo suit. He rewards the elves with some donuts which they enjoy through song.
